After discussing German pronunciation and practicing, students record themselves reciting a Zungenbrecher three times fast in German. I use this activity to finish our mini-unit on pronunciation and to introduce students to the audio program Audacity (which we use a lot in later levels). You'll need a computer lab, the program (it's free), and microphones. Let the kids practice for about five minutes, then give them about fifteen minutes to record (they'll play around with the controls until they get it right).
