About This Lesson
This is a pre-reading lesson plan for The Color of Water which takes students through a brief study of how race is viewed in different countries. It makes use of recent video clips which are interspersed among short passages of informational text to which students are asked to respond after paired discussions of a few minutes. For grade 9 students over 4 to 5 days.
