About This Lesson
This summative assessment was based on Maria Angala's tic tac toe assessment for Red Scarf Girl. I modified it to include Sternberg tasks for each of three categories (plot, characters and historical information). The boxes are marked with A/P/C to denote which type of learning profile is being used (analytical, practical or creative) as well as P/Ch/H to denote the category. First semester 8th graders will have two weeks to complete the project with time in class to do so. Includes a rubric that assesses for each category, mechanics, and overall understanding of Red Scarf Girl.
Very interesting format for students to show mastery of a book.
