this has a good list of web sites that give useful info about various forms of energy generation - excellent for the project I've got lined up for my S1 class :)

alternative energies made easy
Great opportunity for cross curricular activity including databasing and publishing. Language work with language of persuasion and advertisements invites itself as well. How about a green project at school and parent involvement?
