About This Lesson

SWAT evaluate characters' biases, points of view and author's intent by writing hypothetical newspaper articles about the same event from the perspective of two conflicting characters. Teachers will be able to assess students' understanding of plot, character, setting and figurative language by the accuracy, subtlety and complexity of their responses.
