About This Lesson

This short poem provides a lot of class discussion and can be used to effectively review poetry devices studied earlier in the year. Students read; reflect; and discuss poem and write a paragraph arguing their interpretation of the poem using a quotation to back up their point. Aligned to Common Core State Standards:RL.6.5, RL.9-10.4
