Using a photo of a Roman game (a slate with a grid drawn on it and some stones as counters/pieces); children then have the chance to design their own game on a grid; with some counters or pieces. They then have to write the rules for the game and instructions. After teaching the game to their peers; they can complete a peer assessment of it.
