About This Lesson

This activity is intended to take 2 -3 class periods and would be most useful for teachers with reluctant readers/learners. It uses the text "The Scarlet Ibis" which is found in most 9th grade English textbooks. It is copyrighted material so you MUST have a textbook with a copy of this story in order to use this activity. The study questions are ones that I have gathered from multiple places in the public domain. No infringement is intended. You will need the text from the Scarlet Ibis in a printable form. It can be adapted as needed to fit your individual classroom. CCSS: RL.9-10.10
