About This Lesson
A 2-3 day lesson focused on the words of South Carolina secessionists and Lincoln's response to them, exploring the constitutional and legal reasoning employed by both sides in promoting their respective positions. Help students gain a deeper understanding of the Secession crisis, and establish their own, valid, opinions on the relative validity of the two camps' positions.
