Sending a Message to Alien Worlds - Research Activity

This worksheet introduces the idea of communicating with aliens using radio signals; via the example of the ‘Arecibo message’; transmitted by very optimistic scientists in 1974. Students are asked to use the internet to find out answers to a series of questions on this topic. This could be set as a homework task; or done in class using computers.
