About This Lesson

Students plot the series of ordered pairs and connect the dots to create a picture of a snowflake. This is a good holiday activity and provides students with extra practice graphing coordinate points and working with a coordinate grid which are prerequisites to Integrated Algebra. I was surprised that I could not find any good activities like this on the internet- most just deal with Quadrant I and seem "childish" for my high school students, so I ended up creating my own. I use this with both my 1A and 1B classes as a fun "day before vacation" activity.

Enjoy!
