About This Lesson
This is a fun, engaging lesson that requires students to listen to the popular songs "Happy" by Pharrell and "Don't Worry Be Happy" by Bobby McFarland to discuss what musical elements, styles and forms musical artists use to create certain emotions in listeners. This lesson plan can be modified or turned in to a unit by picking other songs that elicit different emotions such as sadness, anger, etc. This could also address Common Core SL 7.1/7.2 and SL 8.1/ 8.2
