About This Lesson

Introduction: The landmark Supreme Court decision in District of Columbia v. Heller reinterpreted the way Americans view the individuals right to bear arms. Second Amendment that limited the right to bear arms, finding for the first time that individuals have the right to own firearms.

Objective:

  • Help students to understand how the landmark case, District of Columbia v. Heller, has impacted the discourse on gun ownership in the United States.
