Surrealism Art

I use these activities when reading Alice's Adventures in Wonderland with my 10th graders. I define surrealism for the students, and we chart the real and surreal aspects of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland as we read. Then, we look at famous surrealist art paintings and discuss why the painters use this style. I even let the students create their own surrealism paintings. This is a ton of fun!
