This is a fun project to find the perimeter of figures involving radicals. Included is the tangram template that can be copied onto various colored paper. The separate colors make it easy so students do not get the pieces mixed up. An example “E” is included to show the expectations of the work for each figure. The project can be easily changed to assign as few or as many figures as you wish. I have even had students find the area of each figure for an extra challenge.
