About This Lesson

This activity is about Norway. Part of it was to tell the children a Norse myth. We showed them this PowerPoint while telling the story and getting volunteers to help us act it out. It was great fun!

Good powerpoint. However, I will point out that Valhalla is a hall for the dead, presided over by Odin. Valhalla is located in Asgard where the gods live. Half the dead go to Valhalla and the rest go to Folkvangr, presided over by Freyja. The reason for the division of the dead is in the myth about The Necklace of the Brisings.
