Tomorrow when the war began - newspaper article

This assessment has been used with English as a second language students with some success. Activities from toping on; News : 'Text - building skills in English' Book 1; by Annabel Charles; Richard Durant; David Grant; Esther Menon and Beverly Turner (Published by Heinemann) supplemented the assessment. Students watched the movie "Tomorrow when the war began" once they had completed most of the newspaper article activities from the book mentioned above. They also analyzed newspaper articles using the 'newspaper analysis' activity sheet.I hope this is useful.
