In this four to five period classroom simulation; students will learn about the National Labor Relations Act of 1935 (Wagner Act). They will participate in an election to determine if workers at Get Well Community Hospital will be represented by the Get well Community Hospital Workers. Students will be assigned one of four roles: management; union organizer; government official or worker. It concludes with a homework assignment asking students to evaluate their experience. The union election simulation can be modified to meet local classroom needs.
