About This Lesson
My unit plan focuses on Unit 3, Algebraic Expressions and Properties from the Math 6 Big Ideas Textbook. The lesson plans will focus heavily on note taking due to the AVID goal set by our 6th grade math team. This is to familiarize students with the format of taking notes and being able to utilize said notes for the purpose of learning. This means that students can use these notes during assessments like a chapter test. Parts of the lesson plan also utilize websites like Khan Academy, Quizizz, and Kahoots!, therefore it assumes that those who utilize the lesson plans have an account with said online websites to access the necessary materials. Due to the diversity of students that may change between classes to classes, alternative assessments for high achieving students or struggling students should be determine by teachers as needed.
