About This Lesson
This unit plan entitled “The Filipino Language and I” is an introduction unit to the Filipino language class for Filipino 1 – 2. This is the first lesson that will be discussed at the start of the year for Grades 9 – 10. This unit covers the evolution of the Filipino language up to the basic everyday conversations.
This unit also highlights how Filipino values are naturally part of the Filipino language and how important it is to demonstrate the values in day to day conversations.
This unit will involve singing, games, hands on and project based learning as the students appreciate and learn the foundation of the Filipino language.
The objective of this unit are the following:
a. Identify and pronounce properly the Filipino alphabet
b. Converse in basic Filipino language
c. Learn and apply the Filipino values embedded in day to day conversations
