About This Lesson
Early childhood students can use this handout to learn about estimation and counting. Each student will be given a slice of watermelon to first estimate how many seeds are in the slice and then count and record the actual number of seeds. Young students will also be able to represent the number they counted by illustrating the seeds on the handout. To conclude, each student will get to enjoy their own slice of watermelon!
