About This Lesson

This lesson was originally planned for a Human Rights & Justice course but could be used in any upper level history course or social studies elective course. Students will study the essential question of, "Does national sovereignty promote the realization of human rights"? Students will use the Falkland Islands as a case study and carry out a United Nations hearing simulation on the issue.
