About This Lesson

Activity has cards; student handout and teachers notes. A hands on activity to help students understand why there is variation within species. Teacher should emphasize at the end that activity has only looked at 7 characterisitics - living organisms are more complex with millions of different characteristics and that sibbling are different because they inherit a different combination of genes from their parents. Can even explain identical and non-identical twins - monozygotic and di-zygotic depending on ability of group.
