About This Lesson

This ongoing unit is a collaboration between a Social Studies teacher and me. 

Women's Studies: 

Gender and society

How gender is socially constructed and how it intersects with other factors like race, class, and sexuality 

Women's History

The experiences and contributions of women in American society, including their involvement in health, history, and political activism

Gender stereotypes

How gender stereotypes affect learning and other areas of life 

Critical thinking

How to examine perceptions, assumptions, and beliefs, and raise questions to come to thoughtful answers
