About This Lesson

Articles taken from biography.com allow students to use secondary sources to learn about three significant wormen of the Reniassance-- Isabella d'Este, Catherine DeMedici and Anne Boleyn. Each article is followed by a close reading activity. This lesson can be completed as three separate stations, a large historical reading lesson, or as three small lessons.

Students are required to follow Close Reading protocols in order to complete the activities following each article. When necessary, Tier II and Tier III terminology have already been bolded and underlined in the reading. Addtionally, paragraphs have been numbered to further assist studnents as they complete the literacy activities.
