Prediagnostic Exam. Regents based multiple choice questions.
I am not a fan of data but incorporating a prediagnostic exam before each new unit helped me to stay on pace. This also allowed me to identify skill strengths and weakness amongst my students.
On the day I administer the pre-diagnostic exam I attach a KWL chart to loose -leaf. I encouraged the student top complete a portion of the KWL chart while taking the exam.
