Really useful resource with a focus on persuasive writing. This could be incorporated into a wider unit of work looking at section B of the English paper. Thanks for sharing this resource.

I like the acronym "AFOREST" about persuasive rhetorical technique. Presented in addition to common persuasive appeals (bandwagon, defensive nationalism, scapegoating, hyperbole, etc) this resource will round out student understanding of the ways persuasion/propagand nuances both the language and the appeals. The subject matter (smoking at school) is somewhat mature, so I recommend this resource for grades 8-12 instead of grades 6 and 7.
