About This Lesson
Developed by the NIOSH, this three to five-hour curriculum teaches foundational critical thinking and problem-solving skills for the workplace. It covers how to recognize & reduce hazards, employee rights & responsibilities, emergency preparedness, and how to speak up about workplace concerns effectively. The six lessons include games, group work, & role plays, and are designed to be integrated into high school classes, work-based learning programs, career technical education, youth employment training programs, and transition programs for youth with learning and cognitive disabilities.
