Biography
I am Christi Gilbert, a National Board Certified Teacher in the area of English as a New Language, and I have been working with English learners since 2003, both here and abroad.
Currently, I teach English learners in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I have the privilege of co-teaching with some amazing classroom teachers, grades 3-5. I teach them some things about helping their ELs, and they teach me some things about content and kids.
I am pouring all of my extra time and energy into a balanced math program called ZONES Math. I created ZONES with some teacher friends, and it has been wonderful for my ELs!
