Biography
I am interested in creating transgenerational curriculum where students engage their parents in deep conversations that shift culture. Besides teaching, I am the Co-Founder of the Richmond Grows Seed Lending Library (richmondgrowsseeds.org), a nonprofit dedicated to providing free seed to the community and educating our community about seed saving. The "create a library" resources I developed have supported hundreds of communities, including many schools, to launch local seed libraries. Another project I am collaborating on is having October designated as Zero Waste Month (ZeroWasteChallenge.org). All of my lessons with teaching resources are available at rebeccanewburn.com.
