MERIDEN FEDERATION OF TEACHERS

In Meriden, Conn., the AFT Innovation Fund supported the expansion of learning time for students and teachers in three elementary schools. Members of the Meriden Federation of Teachers at those schools came together to write lesson plans for after-school activities to make sure that what children were learning was well integrated with the schools’ instructional goals. These lessons are designed to bolster students’ content knowledge while providing them with creative, stimulating enrichment. We thank our partners in the Meriden Public Schools for their support of this initiative.
