Fairtrade Foundation

The Fairtrade Foundation exists to improve the position of poor and marginalised farmers in the developing world, by encouraging industry and consumers to support fairer trade. We are an independent non-profit organisation that licenses use of the FAIRTRADE Mark on products. Our aim: to enable young people to understand their impact as consumer citizens, and members of their communities, and to understand the concept of sustainable development and the power they have to change the world around them for the better. We support schools across the UK to embed Fairtrade across all aspects of school life, by teaching about trade in the context of sustainable development, by taking part in events, campaigns and initiatives to support Fairtrade, and by choosing Fairtrade products.
