Morningside Center for Teaching Social Responsibility works hand in hand with educators to create caring, productive, and equitable schools where students learn the skills they need to contribute to their communities—from the classroom to the world. The Center was founded in 1982 by educators who saw that young people were key to a future without war and hatred. Each year we partner with hundreds of preK-12 schools to help them foster social & emotional learning and restorative practices through our research-based programs. On our teacher resource website, TeachableMoment.Org, we share timely lessons that use issues in the news to promote social awareness and responsibility.
