AFT Children's Health and Well-Being

The AFT’s new Children’s Health, Safety and Well-Being (HSW) program relies on member priorities to promote equity at the intersection of health and education.To inform the focus of this program, a survey was sent out to AFT members and leaders nationwide in November 2014. The survey responses determined our program’s priorities on i) Mental Health ii) Equitable Access to Care iii) Food security. Here are resources on the Children's HSW program, the three program priorities, and school health in general.
