Welcome, IFT Teachers!
The members of our IFT Career and Technical Education/STEM Committee wants to ensure you have access to a range of quality resources to support your work with CTE students, particularly during this time of unprecedented change in public education. Our union and AFT Share My Lesson are bringing these necessary resources to you. We hope you find these materials useful and that you will share your own successes and ideas with other CTE teachers across Illinois.
To Earn Illinois Professional Development Hours
The Illinois Federation of Teachers (IFT) will provide Professional Development Hours for virtual webinars that members attend on the Share My Lesson (SML) platform. According to ISBE criteria for professional development, credit can only be provided for webinars directly related to student learning. Self-care and union leadership webinars are not eligible. A separate form must be completed for each webinar. Contact [email protected] with any questions.
The Illinois Federation of Teachers/Share My Lesson is an ISBE-approved Professional Development provider.
Step 1: Upon completion of the Share My Lesson webinar, download your SML Certificate of Completion.
**The SML Certificate of Completion alone does NOT qualify for ISBE PD credit.**
Step 2: Log in to your MyIFT account to complete the ISBE PD Evaluation Form.
Step 3: Log your PD hours in the Educator Licensure Information System (ELIS).
You will receive an ISBE Evidence of Completion form from the IFT - make sure to retain your copy for six years. Do not submit any forms or certificates to ISBE unless requested by ISBE.
