Little Amal is a 12-foot puppet representing a 10-year-old Syrian refugee child, who travels the world and shines a light on the international refugee crisis. Her journeys are led by The Walk Productions and a team of theater makers and puppeteers from more than 12 countries. Little Amal, designed and built by Handspring Puppet Company, is a global symbol of human rights who continues to spread her urgent message: "Don't forget about us."
Amal’s U.S. tour begins in Boston on September 7th and culminates in San Diego on November 5th. Over nine weeks and across 35 towns and cities, Amal will be welcomed by our partners to create events, celebrations, noise, and joy and to echo her spirit of welcoming refugees, migrants, and newcomers into the United States.
