Prioritizing connection between adults and students is absolutely critical for students to feel safe, cared for, and ready to learn. Investing time to build these relationships will be even more important as we move to reopening schools in the fall and leveraging in-person time most productively. Additionally, equipping students and educators alike with the tools they need to manage the stress and trauma they have experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic will be necessary for teaching and learning to be most effective.
Tune in to this webinar where we will dive into research-based strategies for building relationships and authentic examples of ways to promote social and emotional learning virtually. Participants will also explore free resources on the research behind adverse experiences and practices for improving their mental health and well-being. They also will review and build their own Learner Variability Navigator “workspace” of strategies.
Available for one-hour of PD credit. A certificate of completion will be available for download at the end of your session that you can submit for your school's or district's approval.
On Demand version is available in closed captioning in English and Spanish.
