In this session, we'll look at practical strategies to engage students in hands-on collaborative writing activities using art as a main text to strengthen language usage and vocabulary acquisition, problem solving, analyzing text, increasing background knowledge, giving and receiving feedback, communication skills, and creativity.
These strategies can be incorporated into all content area classrooms as a support for Common Core standards. Educators will be led through an activity that can be modified for multiple classrooms and needs and can be implemented immediately in their classrooms.
