About This Webinar

Join AFT Member, Stacy Vocasek, and Share My Lesson to discuss do your students struggle with writing? In this session, we'll look at practical strategies to engage students in hands-on collaborative writing activities using art as a main text to strengthen language usage and vocabulary acquisition, problem solving, analyzing text, increasing background knowledge, giving and receiving feedback, communication skills, and creativity.

These strategies can be incorporated into all content area classrooms as a support for Common Core standards. Educators will be led through an activity that can be modified for multiple classrooms and needs and can be implemented immediately in their classrooms.

On Demand version is available in closed captioning in English and Spanish.

Professional Credit

Available for one-hour of PD credit. A certificate of completion will be available for download at the end of your session that you can submit for your school's or district's approval.
