Life’s experiences can initiate pressure, and pressure can produce stress. But these experiences need not determine the quality of our performance or health. In order to be successful, stress must always be put in the proper context of its metaphorical storm. The corporate world calls these storms “stress,” the sports world calls them “competition,” and educators and families simply call them “chaos.”

Lyles’ research and clinical experience have isolated the common elements of stress to ultimately help people get better at whatever they do, including navigating the COVID-19 environment and increasing their overall self-care. Join us on this interactive webinar to be inspired, informed and ready to thrive in personal health, self-care, happiness and productivity!

Bonus: Take a quick stress test during the session and see where you rank on the stress scale.

Unfortunately, this webinar was not what I expected. While I really appreciated the pre-assessment, there could have been specific ways that this was integrated in the webinar, in addition to specific strategies that are specific to educators. The presenter's main demographic of clientele is not educators, and it seemed he didn't actually understand what our needs are. I also found his examples to be a bit 'braggy,' and reinforces trauma through the morbid examples. I do not feel he actually discussed the big ideas that were named in the title of the session.

Stress is a part of the job. We need to be prepared with techniques to resolve this. Additionally, we need to give others some grace while they deal with their own stress.

Every educator needs to know where his or her interest lies. If it is what one loves doing, one will be motivated and inspired to do it.
