About This Lesson
Explore the often-overlooked leadership of civil rights organizer Ella Baker with this engaging video lesson and accompanying worksheets. Students will learn how Baker helped build the NAACP and Southern Christian Leadership Conference, supported the creation of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, and championed grassroots leadership during the civil rights movement.
