The Music Center is one of the largest and most highly regarded performing arts centers in the country, creating a cultural hub that is central to Los Angeles’ status as “the creative capital” of the world. Over two million people enjoy live performances and events at The Music Center each year. The Music Center is also a nationally recognized leader in arts education. Its Artsource curriculum units provide detailed lesson plans about important artists from a variety of cultures and styles and an enduring work of their art in dance, music and theatre. Video and audio resources help bring these performances alive for students. The lessons are appropriate for general classroom teachers and arts teachers alike. In addition, The Music Center presents special programs and festivals for children and families throughout the year.
