About This Lesson
This is a document I created in Word and used it first as a practice activity (in groups) at the beginning of the unit and then used it as my assessment test (independent). I believe in teaching addition and subtraction using multiple solving strategies and putting problems in context. In this document, students solve story problems using any strategy they'd like. The algorithm isn't the only way!
