About This Lesson
In this activity, students will read an article to learn more about United States criminal justice policy and then answer short-answer questions to demonstrate their understanding.
Students will click the link to access the reading, "America's War on Drugs — 50 Years Later" by Ignacio Diaz Pascual. Key vocabulary terms are provided on page 1 to aid student comprehension. After completing the reading, students will answer seven short-answer questions on page 2. A comprehensive answer key with sample answers and supporting evidence from the text is provided for your convenience on pages 3–10.
