About This Lesson

Help On Our Sleeves® break the stigma of silence so we can transform children's mental health.

The NEW Breaking Stigmas program for grades K-8 helps children recognize, identify, and manage their emotions, while also learning how to foster empathy and express kindness to help their peers.

Use the take-home letter to bring students' families into your classroom conversation.

This program includes:

  • Teacher's guides for grades K-2, 3-5, and 6-8
  • Engaging activities to help students identify feelings and emotions, explore coping strategies, and learn about the connection between feelings, empathy, and kindness. Activities support social-emotional learning skills, as well as health and language arts curricular standards
  • Parent and caregiver letter

Visit the PROGRAM SITE for:

  • Spanish versions of the student activity sheets and parent/caregiver letter
  • Additional kits on Emotional Empowerment and Taking a Day Time Break that provide tools for supporting students' mental wellness.
