About This Lesson
This activity teaches students about the Statue of Liberty and its role in welcoming immigrants to the United States. Students then get the chance to design their own image that bring joy to others and welcome them into their community. This activity can be completed as an in class lesson, extension activity, project, or homework assignment depending on the needs of your classroom.
