About This Lesson

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act, the Anti-Defamation League put together this resource to aid in teaching and learning more about the history of discrimination and racism in the United States, the struggle for civil rights, the Civil Rights Act, and the strides we have made as well as the work that remains to be done. The Anti-Defamation League presents these seven ideas for teaching about the Civil Rights Act in your classroom.
