About This Lesson
Do you ever hear your students discussing where they want to live after college without a realistic idea of what the cost of living is in that area? This activity is a fantastic way to get students researching the average cost of living in five cities they are interested in. Students will research the demographics of the city, the average cost of living, unemployment and job growth, and even find an apartment in the location they finally decide on. Students often come away with a deeper appreciation for what it means to be independent after graduating college.
