About This Lesson
This lesson is designed to go discuss similar and congruent figures.
Students will be able to identify what congruent figures are and the difference between a similar figure and congruent. They will be able to identify that congruent figures have the same shape and size and similar figures have the same shape but a different size.
During this lesson, students will be taught the difference between a similar and congruent figure. Students will be able to identify congruent figures. They will learn the symbol for congruent figures as well. We will be taking notes in our notebook the first half of class and using powerpoint to display examples of congruent and similar figures. We will also use pair deck as a way to answer questions directly in our powerpoint. Additionally, we will discuss real life examples of congruent and similar figures.
Students will be completing an assignment on google forms that has them identify congruent and similar figures. They will also need to provide an example of a real- life example of congruent figures.
