About This Lesson
This is a guided reading plan that I did with a third grade AIS reading group. This was part of a unit of study about characters. The students read several Cynthia Rylant books and focused on the characters. The level of the text is appropriate for end of first grade / early second grade readers. I noted where my plan was aligned to specific New York Common Core State Standards.
