      About This Lesson

      This is a lesson plan for a 3rd grade AIS Reading group. I wanted to teach them about text features in a non-fiction book. I also taught the difference between the topic and the main idea of a book. I noted where my plans were aligned to the New York Common Core State Standards. Aligned to Common Core State Standards: RI.3.2, RI.3.4, RI.3.5, RI.3.7, RI.3.8 , L.3.4, L.3.5, L.3.6
